In 1981, Fujigen bought the entire Pickup Division from Nisshin Onpa (Maxon): patents, know-how, equipment, and probably also took over the workforce. There were 3 versions until the production model.
Ishimaru (chief of pickups division at Nisshin Onpa) for Maxon during the summer of 1979. Jun Takano (Music Land Key, later Kandashokai) who started to design and develop it with M. In the case of the famous Dry Z pickup, known to be the closest to the original PAFs, we know that it was M. The Greco pickups, meanwhile, were manufactured by Maxon for instruments of the 70s (UD, U-1000 and U-2000 for example) and early 80s. Greco guitars are usually equipped with a tailpiece, a bridge and tuners manufactured by Gotoh.
